Josh Norman Hosts Leadership Program At Jefferson Middle

WASHINGTON,
DC – (October 17, 2017) – Washington Redskins cornerback Josh
Norman visited Jefferson Middle School to speak to at-risk students about the
importance of attendance, perseverance, and goal setting through his Starz24
Foundation, whose mission is to provide
enrichment through community events and youth programs. With an emphasis on
fitness and teamwork, Josh Norman’s Starz24 Foundation challenges youths to
participate and excel in areas that help develop strong interpersonal skills
and an awareness of the world around them.
Earlier this spring, Josh
hosted his first Starz24 Leadership Program at Jefferson Middle School Academy,
where he spoke to over 300 students about work ethic for high achievement,
being servant-minded, persevering through challenges and staying focused on
reaching personal goals so that they can grow to be confident and successful
role models.
The school invited him back
this semester for a more focused program on students identified as at-risk
related to poor attendance. Josh spoke to the students as a voice of
empowerment and encouragement focusing on goal setting and attendance. In three
small session, Josh spoke to students and answered questions about school,
perseverance, and goals.
To help raise money for
Foundation programming, Norman and his Redskins teammates will step off the
field for one evening only to mix and mingle with more than 150 guests for the
inaugural A Night with the Starz at
the Watergate Hotel on November 13th. In addition to meeting some of their
favorite Redskins, guests will enjoy world class cuisine, fine wine, and have the
opportunity to participate in exciting live and silent auctions.
Sponsorships and tickets for
Josh Norman’s A Night with the Starz can be purchased online at www.joshnorman.org. Single tickets are available
for $350 per guest and include a Washington Redskins Signature Series Football
for autographs. Outside memorabilia is prohibited.
